Shruti Parekh

is a filmmaker and multimedia artist from Atlanta, currently based in Brooklyn. She tells stories through film, digital video, photography, and visual art. She currently works as a Video Producer for Splinter (formerly Fusion), focusing on daily news and digital features with a focus on marginalized voices and untold stories. Shruti has also created videos for clients such as Food & Wine Magazine, NYLON, and WIRED, as well as for social justice and nonprofit organizations such as the National Domestic Workers' Alliance, Sum of Us, Seeds of Peace, and Adhikaar. She worked with acclaimed director Mira Nair on her latest film The Reluctant Fundamentalist, and has worked on multiple award-winning documentaries. Shruti has also directed, shot, & edited more than fifteen music videos, which have been featured on Jezebel, Remezcla, MTV2, 2DopeBoyz, and more. Shruti is passionate about powerful storytelling, social justice, design, traveling, humor, nature, getting enough sleep, and finding the best food wherever she goes.
